It is where the whole nation takes a nap. Coincidentally I learned of it, when I was very close to a nap in Spanish class. I shouldn’t have to say more. Siesta, is where there is a mat in every cubicle and a glass of apple juice with a side of graham crakers in every snack machine. Really, they have found productivity goes up, when people have naps. Think about your day, (overacheivers skip to question 4b.)
If you are like most people you have a tendency to load up on sugar crap breakfast and diet pop and
a.) buzz buzz around much to the silent chargin of your co-workers.
Or B.) stalk your desk looking intently at the work hoping it will go away and playing pencil pop with yourself.
And then do what, at about 3pm, dream about sunlight until you clock out.
For the exceptional people we have a different way of approaching it. The work gets done but we loathe the idea that we cannot be elsewhere. The fact that we didn’t have a nap just adds to a certain lethargy when we get home. Ok maybe not WE, because I do try to take naps whenever possible. It’s a part of my religion.
I mean if God didn’t want us to nap then why did he put Adam down and pull out that rib. God could have blinked and said rib, and then It was good. And there would have been not only a rib but a pint of ‘Rich&Sassy’ sauce.
and families have more time together. (Maybe that’s not such a good point, but most families love each other, if you don’t love your family there’s always yourself, or your dog).
