Familiar soapbox here. I am very suspicious of the establishment and those in control of it. It’s more than just a habit it teters on a lifestyle. It has been said that no one cares whether a black man gets money but one does care about is if that same man has power. Because everyone knows power makes the world go round money if fleeting. Here is an interesting article about Jay-Z and LeBron James friendship. Called a never before seen meeting of young genius this match made in golddigger heaven, this companionship between ”a generation’s most celebrated entertainer and athlete,” is a little scary to people in control.
The Nets a brooklyn team part owned by Jay-Z is still incubating right now still inking the deals for the stadium, still fleshing out their franchises vision, still probably pulling necessary funds together to attract the powerhouses they need to hit the ground running…. and the water’s gonna break about the time LeBron is free from his Jordan Camp Cavaliers. Interesting proposition….
These media powerhouses (they are both pretty funny, and like Paul Mooney said all black people entertain….) could get together and create a marketing explosion! With no establishment holding their hand just their star power, connections, Jesus and a little electrical tape…. I won’t say the article was downing there efforts but I’m sure more than a few people (not good politically correct model citizens like us) are a little concerned with the shifting of power. How you like them apples.
