Mo’ Money, Mo’ Power.

Familiar soapbox here. I am very suspicious of the establishment and those in control of it. It’s more than just a habit it teters on a lifestyle. It has been said that no one cares whether a black man gets money but one does care about is if that same man has power. Because everyone knows power makes the world go round money if fleeting. Here is an interesting article about Jay-Z and LeBron James friendship. Called a never before seen meeting of young genius this match made in golddigger heaven, this companionship between ”a generation’s most celebrated entertainer and athlete,” is a little scary to people in control.

The Nets a brooklyn team part owned by Jay-Z is still incubating right now still inking the deals for the stadium, still fleshing out their franchises vision, still probably pulling necessary funds together to attract the powerhouses they need to hit the ground running…. and the water’s gonna break about the time LeBron is free from his Jordan Camp Cavaliers. Interesting proposition….

These media powerhouses (they are both pretty funny, and like Paul Mooney said all black people entertain….) could get together and create a marketing explosion! With no establishment holding their hand just their star power, connections, Jesus and a little electrical tape…. I won’t say the article was downing there efforts but I’m sure more than a few people (not good politically correct model citizens like us) are a little concerned with the shifting of power. How you like them apples.

I must apologize if this isn't exciting... though this may seem odd my decision to enter the blogging world, was less for an audience and more for me as an exercise in discipline, which i clearly lack if you see the frequency of the posts, but still it is weird because I am airing my thoughts on the biggest communication tool since the pony express, but if you like what you read feel free to comment and/or share... if not thank you for taking the time out of your life to check me out.... I'm pretty laid back, and I'm open for comments....

As true as what you say may be you also have to take into account that LeBron wants to be one of the “greats” MJ, Bird, I.Thomas, Magic, Walton, Dr.J they stayed on a built on their respective franshises over the course of each one’s career. If LeBron wants to be remembered as a “great” player of that caliber then he’s going to have to step up his game and wait the for Cavs to continue to build around him to create that team into one of the greats in the east.

Modern day examples of this are KJ (even though he wasn’t able to get them anywhere his stuck with it and created a name/legend for himself with the Timberwolves), as much as I hate him Kobe Bryant has done this as well (for the time being) and if he’s smart he’ll stick around in LA where he can be a star.

  2. you are probably right!

    thank you.

say what you need to say. :)
